Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) in the United States seeks a Team Leader for our U.S. Military and Government team, delivering seamless travel management to federal clients. You will coach travel consultants, monitor performance with data, and lead scheduling and workflow within a 24/7 operation.

We value strong communication, problem-solving, and a collaborative, inclusive culture. The role requires flexibility for late evenings, overnights, and some weekends.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as Travel consultant.
• 4+ years in a customer service environment.
• Sabre GDS experience required.
• Experience issuing tickets and Sabre queues preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and coaching to a team of travel consultants.
• Drives change and employee engagement through effective communication.
• Uses data to monitor activity and provide performance feedback.
• Coordinates scheduling, prioritization, and process execution.
• Organizes daily work and collaborates with leadership.
• Participates in coaching, training, and performance reviews.
