Job summary

SiloSmashers is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and secure cloud workloads for DHS CISA with emphasis on compliance and modernization. The role focuses on building resilient, scalable environments in GovCloud and cross‑cloud setups, aligning with Zero Trust strategies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cloud engineering, hands-on experience with AWS and Azure, and a strong grasp of FedRAMP and NIST standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud operations.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
Strong understanding of DHS, NIST, and FedRAMP cloud security standards.
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Deploy and manage workloads in AWS GovCloud and Azure Gov.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
Implement Zero Trust and FedRAMP-compliant security configurations.
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and optimize performance.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and security engineers to align cloud solutions with DHS mission needs.
