Joseph’s Classic Market in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a Kitchen Prep Cook to support food preparation and display presentation in our gourmet grocer. You will follow recipes, maintain freshness and sanitation, plate and present items, and help maintain attractive cases.

The role offers hands-on learning in kitchen operations, safety standards, and opportunities for career growth within the Kitchen and Prepared Foods departments. Prior kitchen experience is a plus; join our team today.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Food preparation or kitchen experience preferred.
Food safety knowledge or ServSafe certification a plus.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic math and reading skills.
Strong attention to detail and visual presentation.
Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
A passion for serving people.

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute Joseph’s recipes for proteins, vegetables, starches, and other menu items
Maintain Joseph’s standards for product freshness and sanitation
Ensure all items are plated, packaged, and presented according to Joseph's quality and appearance standards
Replenish, rotate, and maintain products and display cases
Operate knives, ovens, stoves, grills, scales, wrapping machines, and other Kitchen equipment
Assist with other tasks as assigned
