Woodlands Market in Marin County seeks a Food Service Manager to lead the Deli, Cheese, and Bakery/Coffee counters. You will drive sales, manage the master schedule, and ensure top-tier customer experiences while working hands-on across all food service zones.

This working manager role requires deep product knowledge, strong people leadership, and a practical approach to daily operations, inventory, and food safety standards. Join a team-focused environment with opportunities for growth.

Competenze

Comprehensive knowledge of specialty foods, including cheese production/handling, deli workflow, and coffee/bakery service.
Strong personnel management, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
Financial acumen, including basic understanding of P&L, margins, and labor percentages.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm and organized during peak volume.
Comfort using POS systems, scales, and inventory software.

Mansioni

Oversee daily operations, sales, and profitability for Deli, Cheese, and Bakery/Coffee.
Write and manage the master department schedule based on sales, demand, and labor targets.
Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and team development; build cross-training programs.
Negotiate pricing and oversee inventory levels and ordering across sub-departments.
Maintain product quality, merchandising, and PLU management.
Work hands-on on floor during peak hours to support speed of service.
Ensure sanitation and regulatory standards are followed; manage logs and equipment.
