Job summary

The Chefs Warehouse is seeking a Sales Associate to represent our fine food offerings to restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retailers. You will deliver outstanding customer service, build relationships, and drive revenue by expanding existing accounts and developing new opportunities.

You will travel within your assigned territory, present products with samples or catalogs, quote prices, and coordinate timely delivery while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must live within a commutable distance to the assigned geographic sales area.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.
• Must have basic computer skills and understanding.
• Must have some proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue by developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing accounts.
• Build a customer portfolio by identifying prospective customers from networking, directories, ads, trade shows and websites.
• Travel throughout your territory to call on customers and secure orders.
• Present products using samples or catalogs highlighting features that fit customer needs.
• Quote prices and terms to prepare orders.
• Provide estimated delivery dates and collect payments on time.
• Maintain detailed records of transactions and update systems with customer data.
• Collaborate with inside sales to keep account literature up to date.
• Monitor stock levels to align product availability with demand.
• Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contracts for long-term collaboration.
