Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a Sales Associate in Austin, TX to deliver outstanding customer service and grow our restaurant and catering customer base. You will promote fine ingredients to restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail outlets by building relationships and managing day-to-day account activities.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of restaurant/food sales experience, a high-energy, proactive approach, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in restaurant or food sales, or catering sales.
• High energy, enthusiastic, team oriented, and responsible.
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Self-starter with willingness to learn and grow in sales.
• College degree desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue by developing new business and expanding existing accounts.
• Travel within the assigned territory to call on customers and secure orders.
• Present products using samples or catalogs and highlight benefits.
• Quote prices and terms to prepare contracts for orders.
• Provide delivery dates and collect payments in a timely manner.
• Maintain records of transactions and manage account receivables.
• Collaborate with inside sales to keep accounts up to date.
• Track stock levels to align product availability with demand.
• Build and maintain relationships with purchasing contracts.
