Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking a Gourmet Food Runner for Catch at Aria. You will deliver seafood-focused, globally-inspired dishes with energetic, guest-focused service in a premier dining room.

Responsibilities include knowledgeable menu guidance, maintaining pristine tables, itemizing checks, collaborating with front-of-house, and completing the Restaurant Training Program. Candidates should be 21+, have upscale restaurant experience, and be prepared for weekend and holiday

Qualifications

• 4+ years of prior relevant experience as a food runner or food server in an upscale or high‑end restaurant.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience in gourmet or similar dining environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm greeting and guide selections.
• Know menu items, prices, preparation methods, and presentation.
• Respond accurately to guest inquiries about hotel services and local attractions.
• Maintain table cleanliness and a silent service approach.
• Accurately itemize bills and process payments.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Complete Restaurant Training Program and testing.

THE JOB:

As a Gourmet Food Runner for Catch at Aria, you will deliver our iconic, seafood-focused and globally-inspired dishes with seamless, high-energy service that exceeds our guests' highest expectations. Working hand-in-hand with our front-of-house team, you will maintain pristine tables, perform crucial side duties, and bring your vibrant passion to our bustling, celebrity-favorite dining room, creating memorable moments that define Aria's premier hospitality standards.

THE STARTING RATE:

$14.8469 USD Hourly + Tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting, utilize your knowledge of menu, guest preference, service and selling techniques to guide selections
• Knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation
• Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach
• Itemize bill correctly and efficiently secure payment
• Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense ofurgency
• Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs and inquiries
• Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• 4+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Food Runner or Food Server in a similar Upscale, High-End, or similar Gourmet restaurant preferred
