Job summary

Goodwill of South-Central Ohio is seeking a Retail Associate in Jackson, OH to deliver world-class service while promoting donations and supporting the local community.

You will operate the cash register, greet customers, process donations, clock in/out via Paycom, and help stock hardlines and softlines while upholding store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Must pass a background check and random drug testing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register following Goodwill of South-Central Ohio policies.
• Provide excellent customer service; greet each customer.
• Assist in the collection of donations entering the store and issue receipts as desired.
• Clock in/out daily for scheduled shifts via Paycom using assigned login.
• Maintain store appearance through housekeeping and organization.
• Assist in stocking hardlines and softlines per management direction.
• Process items efficiently and accurately when assigned to hardlines.
• Sort, tag, and hang items for softlines.
• Follow all Goodwill policies and procedures.
• Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

# Goodwill Retail AssociateJackson, OH 45640## OverviewSalary Range$12.00 - $15.00 HourlyEducation LevelNot SpecifiedTravel PercentageNoneCategoryRetail## Description**Essential Duties:**· Provide world-class service by addressing the needs of all customers.· Promote donations from the community by using all resources available.· Promote Goodwill within the community to enhance its public image and to obtain support for the furtherance of our mission through the management of a retail store. Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards possible in relationships with internal and external associates.**Responsibilities:**· Operate cash register according to Goodwill of South-Central Ohio policies and procedures.· Provide excellent customer service; greet each customer as they come into the store and practice the 3-foot rule.· Ensure the proper handling of all monies by adherence to GWSCO’s policies and procedures.· Assist in the collection of donations coming into the store. Ensure all customers get a receipt if desired.· Clock In/Out daily for scheduled shifts in Paycom using your unique login information.· Share in housekeeping duties and maintain store appearance.· Assist in the production, tracking and stocking of hardlines and soft lines at the direction of management.· When assigned to hardlines, team members are expected to process , efficiently and accurately.· When working on soft lines, team members must be able to sort, tag, and hang maintaining quality and adherence to company standards.· Follow all Goodwill of South-Central Ohio policies and procedures.· Flexible schedule with availability for evening, night, and weekend shifts.· Other duties as assigned.**Physical Requirements:**· Must be able to stoop, bend, reach over your head, climb ladder, and lift 25 pounds.## Qualifications**Qualifications:**· Pleasant personality and neat appearance.· Will be subject to the company’s random drug testing procedures.· Must pass a Goodwill-approved criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses.**Education and or Experience:**· High school diploma or GED preferred· Prior retail or related experience preferred
