Job summary

The Amelia Island Club is seeking a dedicated team member to handle day‑to‑day mowing and grooming of the golf course and grounds. You will contribute to pristine playing conditions and support the overall grounds team.

Key duties include mowing greens and tees, grooming bunkers, and safely operating small equipment. You will uphold quality standards, assist with housekeeping, and arrive punctually for daily activities within a collaborative club environment.

Qualifications

• Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment used in day‑to‑day operations.
• Current, valid Driver’s License
• Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and multi‑task
• Possess a calm, efficient and helpful manner and be able to work under pressure under tight deadlines
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
• Excellent interpersonal/relationship‑building skills
• Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

• Properly mow tees, including resetting of tee markers
• Properly groom bunkers, including removal of weeds and notify management of improper sand conditions
• Use small equipment, including string trimmer and push mowers
• Practice "clean as you go" and general housekeeping duties

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, drive, squat, kneel, reach, bend, stoop, twist, climb, clean and lift up to 50 pounds with frequent repetitive motions
• Must be able to handle continuous standing and walking and walking on rough or uneven ground
• Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
• Must be able to handle moderate to loud noise in the work environment
• Must be able to handle exposure to dust, fumes or gases
• Must be able to work in close proximity to moving machinery and be able to use equipment and tools required for the position
