Job summary

Silverado Resort in Napa, CA, is seeking a Full-Time Golf Teaching Professional to join Troon-managed operations. The role focuses on developing instruction programs, private lessons, junior academy and adult classes in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will work with the Head Golf Professional and Director of Club Operations to deliver engaging instruction, utilize video analysis and fitting techniques, and contribute to community events on-property.

Qualifications

• PGA/LPGA Class A member or Associate working toward membership.
• Minimum 1 year of golf instruction and club-fitting experience.
• Teaching and coaching across all aspects of golf; video analysis preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; highly organized and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of the local market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop instruction programs for all golfer segments in the surrounding market.
• Provide golf instruction to private students and group participants as demand dictates.
• Teach Junior Academy, Adult classes and other Learning Center activities.
• Teach summer camps as needed.
• Provide training and development to other instructors as directed.
• Assist in supervision and upkeep of practice facilities for safe, clean, and professional conditions.
• Assist with Learning Center admin tasks like activity tracking and marketing.
• Keep teaching aids and instructional inventory in excellent condition.
• Utilize video analysis, training aids and club fitting within instructional programs.
• Participate in administrative duties to ensure smooth operation of the program.
• Perform opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directed.
• Represent the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities.

Silverado Resort, located in Napa, CA is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Golf Teaching Professional! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$17 - $18 per hour, plus 80/20 split on lesson commissions

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• PGA/LPGA Class A Member or PGA/LPGA Associate working towards membership
• Must be a dedicated golf instructor with minimum 1 years related experience in golf instruction and club-fitting techniques
• Teaching & coaching experience in all aspects of the game of golf. Preferably have experience with video analysis.
• Must possess exceptional communication skills
• Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly
• Must be extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented
• Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter
• Knowledge of the local market is a plus

Responsibilities:

Works closely with the Head Golf Professional and Director of Club Operations to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding market

Provides teaching & coaching for our Junior Academy, Adult classes, and other Learning Center activities

Teaches summer camps as needed

Provides training and development to other instructors as directed and as needed

Assists in the supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout

Assists with junior golfer end of semester progress reports, adult practice with the pro sessions, adult play with the pro sessions, corporate clinics, off property special events, junior & adult Learning Center On-Course Events

Assists with Learning Center admin assignments likestudent activity tracker and marketing

Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition

Utilizes state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and is able to integrate the use of training aids, video tape and club fitting into the facility’s instructional programs when necessary

Participates in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program

Performs some of the opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directed

Represents the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and program
