Job summary

LaTour Hotels & Resorts is hiring at our Wachesaw Golf location in Murrells Inlet, SC. The Starter/Player Assistant will direct traffic, enforce course rules, assist in tournament operations, and act as an ambassador of good will on and off the golf course.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the rules of golf.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to enforce golf course policies firmly and tactfully.
• Ability to make every customer feel welcome at our course.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pace of play development and maintain starting time intervals.
• Enforce and implement the rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Maintain daily records and reports of incidents and customer concerns.
• Inform and educate golfers about pace of play, golf rules and etiquette.
• Perform light golf maintenance tasks (divots, ball marks, trash).
• Assist in tournament operations and act as ambassador of goodwill on/off course.
• Escort unauthorized people from the course.
• Ensure sand traps are raked.
