Job summary

Dick’s Sporting Goods is seeking a friendly store teammate to greet customers, understand their needs and assist with product selection. You will help maintain floor sets, signage, pricing, and stock presentation, while promoting loyalty programs and store policies.

Role requires a customer-focused, collaborative attitude and the ability to work with the team to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. Physical duties include standing and lifting up to 35 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach to understand their needs.
• Support shopping experience with product knowledge and assistance.
• Follow merchandising standards, signage, price changes and stock presentation.
• Promote loyalty programs, warranty sales and our private label card enrollment.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
• Support the team with a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
