Description

Wintonbury Hills Golf Course, located in Bloomfield, CT, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time, Golf Shop Clerk! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$22.00 - $22.50 per hour

Summary:

The individual must be an expert on POS software. The individual must work through November, including weekends. Golf knowledge is helpful but not necessary. The individual will o ffer superior customer service while selling merchandise and assisting management in merchandising, inventory control, reservations, and special events preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs opening and closing procedures for the shop.

Responsible for the accountability of all sales and money transactions made.

Collects applicable fees from patrons as they arrive.

Makes reservations (tee-times, classes, etc) and assists customers on the phone.

Assists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner.

Assists with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderly.

Assists with general cleaning of the shop or store.

Assist with creating appealing displays.

Assists with periodic physical inventories.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties as required.
