Job summary

Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA is seeking a Golf Shop Assistant to support golf professionals in the shop and outdoors, delivering the highest level of guest service while keeping the shop appealing.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, booking starting times, promoting resort services, maintaining cash, inventory counts, and providing expert advice on golfing facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess basic computational ability.
• Thorough understanding of course rotation and tee time arrangement.
• Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Office 97, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Working knowledge of operation (36 holes, practice facility, etc.).

• Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, tournament golf leagues, and services which the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Professionals deems necessary.
• Book starting time reservations.
• Promote the interests of the resort in providing service to the guest.
• Assist in presentation of golf shop.
• Assist Merchandise Manager with any inventory counts.
• Maintain and balance daily cash register.
• Provide a customer friendly environment.
• Ability to answer any questions related to resort.
• Handle registration of players.

Overview

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach , bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs

• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
• Ability to work in a standing and mobile position for long periods of time.
