Job summary

Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA, seeks an Assistant Golf Professional to support the Professional Staff and Head Golf Professional in daily golf operations.

You will maintain attendance, wear uniforms, assist in daily operations, promote guest golf activities, mentor staff, and handle sales and scheduling with a professional demeanor. The role requires flexibility to work long shifts and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be registered in the PGA PGM.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Experienced in tournament operations.
• Experienced in golf shop merchandising.
• College degree a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to work shifts upwards of 12-16 hours.
• Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards and wear prescribed uniform.
• Assist Head Professional and Director of Golf in daily golf operations.
• Initiate and promote golf activities for guests of the Resort and Club.
• Mentor/supervise junior staff within the department.
• Render professional advice, services, and assistance when needed.
• Schedule golf activities and manage sales, rentals, and tournaments as required.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to staff and players.
• Attend required trainings and participate in meetings.
