Job summary

The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate is a four-diamond property featuring 36 holes of championship golf, 15 acres of recreation, Mokara spa, five restaurants and an 850-foot lazy river. Omni associates enjoy comprehensive training and a culture of respect and empowerment.

The Assistant Golf Professional will support daily golf operations, greet members and guests, assist the Head Professional, and upsell merchandise while staying knowledgeable about products and sales techniques.

Qualifications

• Must be registered in the PGA Associates Program.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Experienced in tournament operations.
• Experienced in golf shop merchandising.
• College degree a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Professional and Director of Golf in the daily golf operation.
• Render professional advice, services, and assistance when needed.
• Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques.
• Anticipate the needs of members and guests and offer appropriate merchandise alternatives.
• Ensure that all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.

Assistant Golf Professional

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure that all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work shifts upwards of 10-12 hours
• Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weight.
• Must be able to operate a golf cart safely and properly.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Working Environment

• High paced busy environment.
• Work regularly inside and outside the golf shops. Travel around the resort property required.
