Job summary

Burhill Group Limited (BGL) seeks a friendly, professional Golf Services Assistant to join our Maryland team. You will greet guests, take accurate orders, and serve meals while maintaining a welcoming dining area and upholding service standards.

Reliable, positive, and well-presented individuals thrive in our fast-paced hospitality environment. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but attitude and willingness to learn are valued. Weekend and public holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay to kitchen and bar.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming dining area.
• Provide menu recommendations and answer guest questions.
• Check on guests and respond promptly to requests.
• Process payments and bills accurately.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and table setups/clearing.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate when needed.
• Support team during busy periods to maintain a positive environment.

About the Role

You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our guests, providing excellent service and ensuring every visit is enjoyable. If you’re confident, reliable, have a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a busy team environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and in line with service standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming dining area.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer guest questions about the menu.
• Check on guests throughout their meal and respond promptly to requests.
• Process payments and bills accurately.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and clearing tables.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and elevate issues when required.
• Support the wider team during busy periods and contribute to a positive working environment.
