Edwin Watts Golf in Tyler, TX is seeking a part-time Golf Sales Associate to promote and maintain a store culture aligned with Worldwide Golf’s values. You will assist customers with equipment, promotions, and knowledgeably guide decisions.

You’ll gain hands-on training, enjoy employee discounts, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to learn about golf tech, including launch monitors and simulators, while helping keep the sales floor organized and responsive to shoppers.

Qualifications

Golf knowledge/background is required.
Experience in golf industry is a plus (entry-level candidates will also be considered).
Strong customer service skills are recommended.

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of golf products, terminology, promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
Evaluate customers' needs and recommend golf equipment based on features and benefits.
Educate customers on golf products and help compare options for informed decisions.
Operate launch monitor and golf simulator to provide data during in-store experiences.
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep the sales floor organized and clean to standards.

Job Description:

The Golf Sales Associate at Edwin Watts Golf is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Responsibilities include:

Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.

Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.

Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.

Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience

Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.

Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.

Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.

Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.

Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.

Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
