Job summary

Edwin Watts Golf is seeking a Golf Sales Associate to promote a store culture aligned with Worldwide Golf’s values and to drive sales at our Charlotte store.

You will evaluate customer needs, recommend golf equipment, and educate customers on product differences while using launch monitors and golf simulators to enhance the in-store experience. This part-time role offers base pay with commission and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Golf knowledge/background is required.
Experience in the golf industry is a plus (entry-level considered).
Ability to stand and move around the store for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values.
Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features, and recommend products.
Educate customers on golf products and help them compare options.
Operate launch monitor and golf simulator to provide data during the in-store experience.
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized.
Research merchandise availability and inventory; requisition stock as needed.
Identify ways to improve processes after training.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The Golf Sales Associate at Edwin Watts Golf is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the "Sure No Problem" philosophy.

Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.
Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
