Job summary

Worldwide Golf Shops is seeking a part-time Golf Sales Associate in Nashville, TN. You will promote a store culture aligned with our values and help customers with knowledge of golf products.

You will evaluate customer needs, demonstrate golf equipment, and assist with merchandising, stock, and floor organization. Training is provided with opportunities for growth and employee discounts.

Qualifications

Golf knowledge/background is required.
Entry-level candidates will also be considered, any experience in golf industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a store culture aligned with Worldwide Golf’s values and the "Sure No Problem" philosophy.
Evaluate customers’ needs and recommend golf equipment based on features and benefits.
Educate customers on golf products and help them compare options to make informed choices.
Operate launch monitor and golf simulator to provide data during in-store experiences.
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep the sales floor clean and organized to standards.
Research merchandise availability and manage stock and inventory as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve processes after training and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The Golf Sales Associate at Edwin Watts Golf is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Responsibilities include:

Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.
Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
