Job summary

Worldwide Golf is seeking part-time Golf Sales Associates in Little Rock, AR. You will help customers select the right equipment, demonstrate features with launch monitors, and support store merchandising and promotions.

You’ll work with a team to deliver knowledgeable service, learn products, and grow within a large golf retailer family. Flexible scheduling and employee discounts accompany base pay plus commissions.

Qualifications

• Golf knowledge/background is required.
• Any experience working in the golf industry is a plus (entry-level candidates will also be considered!).
• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store; physical activity includes bending, lifting up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of golf products, terminology, promotions, demos and ads.
• Evaluate customers’ needs and recommend suitable golf equipment.
• Educate customers, compare product differences and aid in decision making.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator to provide data during in-store experience.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep the sales floor organized and clean.
• Research merchandise availability and manage stock
• Ensure processes improve after training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description:

• Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.
• Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
