Job summary

Edwin Watts Golf in Little Rock seeks a Golf Sales Associate to promote a store culture aligned with Worldwide Golf’s values and the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. You will promote golf products, assist customers, and ensure accurate promotional messaging.

The role requires golf knowledge, willingness to work varied hours, and ability to stand most of the day. Base pay plus commission, with employee discounts and training opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Golf knowledge/background is required.
• Experience in golf industry is a plus (entry-level candidates considered).
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Standing/walking for long periods and light lifting as part of store duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of golf product knowledge, promotions, and sale ads.
• Evaluate customers’ needs and recommend appropriate golf equipment.
• Educate customers on golf products and compare options for educated decisions.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator to provide data during in-store sessions.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep sales floor organized and clean.

Job Description

The Golf Sales Associate at Edwin Watts Golf is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Responsibilities include:

• Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.
• Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Qualifications Desired

• Golf knowledge/background is required.
• Any experience working in the golf industry is a plus (entry-level candidates will also be considered!).
