Job summary

Worldwide Golf Shops LLC in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Golf Sales Associate to help customers find the right golf and ski gear, explain features, and demonstrate our launch monitor and golf simulator.

You will keep the sales floor organized, assist with merchandising, and learn product details while contributing to a positive store culture and customer experience. This full-time role includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of golf and ski products, promotions, and demo merchandise.
• Evaluate customers’ needs and recommend suitable equipment.
• Educate customers on products and compare differences for informed decisions.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator to provide data during in-store experience.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep the sales floor tidy and stocked.
• Research merchandise availability and requisition stock as needed.
• Identify process improvements after training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description:

• Promote and maintain a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy.
• Maintain awareness of all golf and ski product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf and ski equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right equipment.
• Educate customers on our golf and ski products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customers with valuable data during in‑store experience.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep the sales floor organized and clean to meet standards.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and take inventory of stock where needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Desired:

• Golf knowledge and/or ski knowledge is preferred but not necessary.
• Looking for avid golf or ski enthusiasts, industry experience is not required.

Requirements:

• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Working knowledge of word‑processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including one day on the weekend.
