Edwin Watts Golf in Lexington, KY seeks a full-time Golf Sales Associate to help customers find the right equipment and provide an exceptional in-store experience.

You will use golf knowledge to discuss features, demonstrate equipment, and assist with merchandising while contributing to a team focused on growth and training.

Qualifications

• Standing or moving around the store for extended periods.
• Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheets, inventory and order processing systems.
• Golf knowledge/background is required; golf industry experience is a plus.

Job Description

• Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.
• Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Qualifications Desired

• Golf knowledge/background is required
• Any experience working in the golf industry is a plus (entry-level candidates will also be considered!)
