Job summary

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain driving range with ball collection, cleaning, and distribution.
• Ensure range balls and equipment are in good condition; rotate hitting stations as needed.
• Provide assistance to golfers and answer questions about carts and facilities.
• Maintain cart storage area and driving range cleanliness.
• Assist with tournament setup and other special events as needed.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Performs work of moderate to complex difficulty involving the maintenance and operation of golf carts and driving range facilities. Provides excellent customer service to golfers, ensures carts are clean and in good working order, and maintains the driving range area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

(All responsibilities may not be performed by all incumbents.)

• Golf Cart Maintenance and Operation:
  • Prepare golf carts for daily use by cleaning, fueling, and ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Assist golfers with the loading and unloading of golf bags onto carts.
  • Monitor the fleet of carts throughout the day, performing minor repairs and reporting any major issues to the supervisor.
  • Ensure carts are properly stored and charged at the end of each day.
• Driving Range Maintenance:
  • Set up and maintain the driving range, including ball collection, cleaning, and distribution.
  • Ensure range balls are in good condition and that the range area is neat and orderly.
  • Monitor the condition of range mats, targets, and other equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Rotate and move hitting stations to maintain turf quality.
• Customer Assistance:
  • Provide assistance to golfers by answering questions and addressing any concerns related to the golf carts and driving range.
  • Assist with directions and information about course layout and facilities.
  • Offer advice on the use of range equipment and golf carts.
• General Duties:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cart storage area and driving range.
  • Assist with tournament setup and other special events as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Outdoor Services Manager.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in golf course setting or customer service role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of golf is beneficial.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License.
