Job summary

The Quail in Carmel Valley, California is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support our golf department and learn within a strong operation. You will work on a renowned course, assist with events, reservations, and retail duties, and enjoy exceptional medical benefits and staff discounts.

This role emphasizes professional interaction with members and guests, a fast-paced environment, and growth within the golf industry as you work toward PGA Membership progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years golf course experience.
• Ability to interact professionally with members and guests and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Willingness to learn and work in a retail environment including use of a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Organize group outings, events and tournaments and coordinate communication between departments.
• Act as receptionist to guests at the golf shop.
• Assist with coordinating details of golf events (scorecards, proximities, pairings, rules sheet, scoreboard, etc.).
• Reserve tee times for members and outside guests; collect payment for tee times and golf shop retail purchases using the POS system.
• Assist with cleaning, inventory, and maintaining the golf shop's appearance and merchandise.
