Job summary

Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club in Tucson seeks an experienced Player Assistant to deliver top-tier service to members and guests through coordinated teamwork. You will help maintain pace of play, monitor course safety, and support the professional staff on the course.

Responsibilities include restrooms and water stations checks, recording golfer tracking, repairing ball marks, and communicating with the Pro Shop. The role is outdoors and requires reliability and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
• Physical demands include standing/walking, outdoor work, and lifting up to 50 pounds; requires driving a golf cart and good vision.

Responsibilities

• Refill sand and seed stations on a regular basis.
• Maintain an accurate group play sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Tour the golf course assisting players to maintain the posted pace of play.
• Check restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintain proper spacing on the course to avoid delays.
• Complete the golfer tracking report daily.
• Remind players of cart rules of the day.
• Repair ball marks and collect any trash on the course.
• Monitor the course and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist golfers as needed and report issues to Head Professional.
