Job Description

The spray technician role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds guest and member expectations. The role involves creating 'guests for life' by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations, and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with all their needs.

Responsibilities

1. Primary responsibilities include chemical & fertilizer applications.
2. Operate powered equipment for mowing golf course putting greens, aprons, and tees.
3. Water putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
4. Grade and prepare soil beds, lay sod, plant vegetative materials, and seed greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
5. Course setup.
6. Operate light equipment for hauling materials.
7. Use walking and riding mowers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers, and various hand tools to maintain golf course grounds and landscaping.
8. Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough; rake bunkers; weed eat and push mow bunker faces.
9. Set cups and move tee markers.
10. Hand-water greens and tees; assist with irrigation repairs.
11. Perform light custodial operations on golf course grounds and buildings, such as cleaning restrooms, sweeping paths, trash collection, and floor mopping.
12. Report problems to supervisor immediately and take appropriate steps to address emergency situations.
13. Paint and maintain buildings; perform light carpentry work as needed.
14. Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and sod; mulch and edge beds; prepare beds for planting; weed control; water plantings.
15. Respond to any reasonable task assigned by supervisor or manager.
16. Assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in turf/plant fertilization, chainsaw use, woody plant installation, construction, hardscapes, and skidsteer operation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods or entire shifts.
• Physical ability to walk, run, bend, push, pull, and lift moderate to heavy weights.
