Back Nine Golf in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an experienced Golf Instructor to provide private and group lessons using our Full Swing simulator technology. This 1099 independent contractor role is based at the Scottsdale - Lone Mountain location, with travel to Desert Ridge and Scottsdale - Pinnacle Peak as new facilities come online.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching golf; private lessons preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group golf lessons to varying skill levels.
• Utilize simulator swing-analysis data and video feedback.

• Be available 20–25 hours per week, 60% evenings/weekends, 40% daytime.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from members and guests.
• Maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
• Promote the location on social media.
• Assist with bi-annual member clinics.
• Abide by the Independent Contractor Agreement.

Back Nine Golf is a premier indoor golf experience featuring state-of-the-art simulator technology in a modern, member-focused environment. Our Scottsdale - Lone Mountain location is a PGA Recognized Indoor Facility offering Full Swing simulator bays, and we are expanding our footprint with upcoming locations at Desert Ridge and Scottsdale - Pinnacle Peak.

Position Overview

Back Nine Golf is seeking an experienced Golf Instructor to provide private and group lessons to members and guests using our indoor golf simulator technology. This role is based primarily at our Scottsdale - Lone Mountain location, with the expectation of also providing instruction at our Desert Ridge and Scottsdale - Pinnacle Peak locations as those facilities come online. This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering flexibility and the opportunity to build a growing client base across multiple premium facilities.

Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience teaching golf instruction (private lesson experience strongly preferred); PGA/LPGA certification is not required but is a plus
• Strong understanding of golf swing mechanics and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to students of all levels
• Comfort teaching with Full Swing simulator technology; training on our specific systems will be provided
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between the company's Scottsdale/Phoenix locations as needed
• Must carry (or be willing to obtain) general liability insurance appropriate for independent contractor status
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate member scheduling

Essential Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group golf lessons to members and guests of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced players
• Utilize simulator swing-analysis data and video feedback to diagnose swing mechanics and guide instruction
• Design personalized lesson plans and practice programs tailored to each student's goals
• Build and maintain a client base, encouraging repeat bookings and member engagement
• Maintain a professional, welcoming presence on the simulator bays and throughout the facility
• Coordinate scheduling and travel across the Lone Mountain, Desert Ridge, and Pinnacle Peak locations as each comes online
• Represent the Back Nine Golf brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a strong customer-service orientation
• Be generally available 20-25 hours per week, split approximately 60% weekday evenings/weekends and 40% weekday daytime, to manage lessons and facility use
• Respond promptly to inquiries from members and guests
• Maintain a professional, clean, and orderly workspace
• Promote the Back Nine Golf location and its services in the community and on social media
• Assist with bi-annual member clinics
• Abide by the terms of the Independent Contractor Agreement
