Job summary

The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, is seeking a Golf Greenskeeper to maintain its two premier courses, Dogwood and Azalea, ensuring pristine playing conditions and unforgettable guest experiences.

You will operate tractors and mowers, apply lime, fertilizer, insecticide, and fungicide, manage irrigation, landscape, and prepare greens and traps while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Turf Maintenance: Operate tractors and power mowers to till, cultivate, grade, and mow the rough, fairway, green, and tee areas to ensure perfect playing conditions.
• Fertilization and Pest Control: Apply prescribed amounts of lime, fertilizer, insecticide, and fungicide to ensure the health and vibrancy of the turf.
• Irrigation Management: Set up hoses and sprinkler systems at designated points across the course to maintain adequate irrigation.
• Landscaping: Plant, trim, and spray trees and shrubs to maintain the overall aesthetics of the course.
• Course Prep: Engage in tasks such as digging, raking, and grading to prepare new greens and maintain traps and roadbeds.
• Groundskeeping Equipment: Use hand equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, and blowers to maintain a clean and well-manicured course.
• Safety Adherence: Follow safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
