Job summary

Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, is seeking a Golf Greenskeeper to maintain two premier courses, Dogwood and Azalea, ensuring optimal playing conditions and course aesthetics.

You will operate tractors and mowers, apply fertilizers and pesticides, manage irrigation, and support overall groundskeeping to uphold our high standards of hospitality and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Responsible for maintaining pristine playing conditions across golf courses.
• Adhere to safety regulations to ensure a secure work environment.
• Ability to operate and coordinate maintenance equipment including irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and power mowers to till, cultivate, grade, and mow rough, fairway, green and tee areas.
• Apply lime, fertilizer, insecticide and fungicide to maintain turf health.
• Set up hoses and sprinkler systems for proper irrigation.
• Plant, trim and spray trees and shrubs to maintain aesthetics.
• Engage in digging, raking and grading to prep greens and maintain traps.
• Use weed eaters, edgers and blowers for course upkeep.
• Follow safety regulations and procedures.

Golf Greenskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the impeccable quality of these stunning courses, ensuring pristine playing conditions for our guests. This role involves using a variety of tools and equipment to cultivate and care for the grounds, enhancing the beauty and functionality of the golf courses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Turf Maintenance: Operate tractors and power mowers to till, cultivate, grade, and mow the rough, fairway, green, and tee areas to ensure perfect playing conditions.
• Fertilization and Pest Control: Apply prescribed amounts of lime, fertilizer, insecticide, and fungicide to ensure the health and vibrancy of the turf.
• Irrigation Management: Set up hoses and sprinkler systems at designated points across the course to maintain adequate irrigation.
• Landscaping: Plant, trim, and spray trees and shrubs to maintain the overall aesthetics of the course.
• Course Prep: Engage in tasks such as digging, raking, and grading to prepare new greens and maintain traps and roadbeds.
• Groundskeeping Equipment: Use hand equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, and blowers to maintain a clean and well-manicured course.
• Safety Adherence: Follow safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
