Job summary

Down to Earth is seeking a Golf Equipment Operator to support daily golf course maintenance within our Golf Division. You will operate specialized turf equipment to maintain high standards of playability and appearance, and you will work with a team to ensure safety and efficiency on the course.

The ideal candidate has experience on golf courses or similar environments, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating landscape or turf maintenance equipment.
• Ability to safely operate mowing and utility equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in work quality.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate golf course maintenance equipment such as riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, turf vacs, skip-loaders, aerifiers, sprayers, and specialty turf equipment.
• Perform daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounds as assigned.
• Assist with course maintenance activities including bunker maintenance, debris removal, edging, and general grounds care.
• Monitor turf conditions and report issues such as disease, stress, or damage to supervisors.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance such as cleaning, fueling, and blade checks.
• Follow daily work schedules, mowing patterns, and course setup instructions.
• Adhere to all safety policies, equipment guidelines, and course rules.
• Support tournament setup, special events, and seasonal course preparation.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, equipment storage, and maintenance zones.
