Job summary

The Ohio State University Golf Club is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to manage the 36-hole facility, oversee maintenance programs, and coordinate construction projects. You will lead staff, control budgets, and coordinate events to deliver top-quality experiences for student-athletes, club members, and guests.

The role requires experience in golf course management, staff supervision, and a working knowledge of turf maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree may be desirable.
• 5 years of relevant experience required; 8-12 years preferred.
• Working knowledge of golf facility construction principles; understanding of golf rules and strategies.
• Pesticide applicator license in category 8 (turf) and category 3 (aquatics).

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance programs and construction projects for the 36-hole golf course and facilities.
• Recruit, train and supervise maintenance staff.
• Maintain budgets and coordinate events with golf club staff.
• Stay current on turf management innovations and establish maintenance scheduling/record-keeping systems.
