Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent responsible for the overall quality and condition of the 36-hole OSU Golf Club. Lead maintenance programs, staff supervision, and budget adherence to deliver high standards for student-athletes, members, and guests.

The role requires coordinating construction projects, implementing turf innovations, and maintaining records on equipment, chemicals, and schedules to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of golf facility construction principles and golf rules/strategies.
• Minimum five years experience in golf course management and supervisory responsibility.
• Pesticide applicator license in turf category 8 and aquatics category 3.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all maintenance programs and construction projects for the golf course and facilities.
• Recruit, train, and supervise golf course operation staff.
• Maintain operations within budget guidelines and monitor expenditures.
• Coordinate events with golf club staff and stakeholders.
• Maintain records for maintenance scheduling, preventive maintenance, and inventory control.
