The Swan Country Club is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent in New York to oversee the maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course grounds and facilities. You will lead a team of groundskeepers, manage irrigation, schedules, budgeting, and ensure environmental and safety compliance, collaborating with Ownership to deliver a premier golfing experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing golf course grounds and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of turfgrass, trees, landscaping, and vegetation.
• Implement and monitor irrigation systems for water management.
• Develop and execute maintenance schedules for mowing, aerating, seeding, fertilizing, and pest control.
• Ensure the course meets standards for aesthetics and playability.
• Recruit, train, and supervise groundskeeping staff.
• Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide feedback.
• Foster a safe, efficient work environment.
• Maintain and repair groundskeeping equipment to peak performance.
• Manage inventory and procurement of supplies.
• Develop and manage annual maintenance budget.
• Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, safety regulations and promote sustainable practices.
• Communicate regularly with Ownership regarding course conditions and projects.
