Job summary

Wanakah Country Club is seeking a dedicated Grounds Superintendent to lead the maintenance of the golf course, grounds, and tennis facilities in Western New York. You will ensure daily playing conditions meet high standards and drive improvements across all outdoor spaces.

The role requires a turfgrass leadership background, strong communication, and the ability to manage budgets, staff, and irrigation projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Turfgrass Management or related field is required.
• New York pesticide license must be obtainable within the first year.
• GCSAA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all grounds, golf course, and tennis courts to ensure top condition.
• Prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets for the Grounds Department.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance, weather, and chemical applications.
• Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and coordinate Grounds Department staff with GM/COO.
• Coordinate maintenance with Grounds Committee and Head Golf Professional for events affecting play.
