Job summary

Carolina Lakes Golf Club is seeking a full-time, salaried Golf Course Superintendent to lead agronomy for the golf course and club grounds.

You will manage fairways, greens, and surrounding landscapes while maintaining high playing conditions. This role requires a BS/AA in agronomy or related field, Bent Grass experience, and strong leadership skills. You will oversee staff, safety, irrigation systems, and communicate course status to members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science; related field preferred.
• Bent Grass experience is preferred.
• Experience or training in related agronomy practices is expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths.
• Supervise and control all maintenance expenses for Golf Course operations.
• Design, oversee, and implement fertilization, pest and weed management programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA rules and pesticide usage regulations.
• Monitor course conditions daily to determine proper playability.
• Provide safety training and OSHA compliance guidance to staff.
• Develop and maintain drainage, irrigation, pumping and water systems.
• Communicate course conditions and playability to golfers and club management.
• Hire, supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Greenskeepers, and other staff.
• Order parts, supplies and equipment as needed.
