Job summary

Make Golf Your Career is seeking a friendly course attendant to greet guests, help with start of play, and maintain pace on our New York course. You will enforce rules, assist golfers of all levels, and provide excellent customer service while working outdoors in varying weather and coordinating with the front and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include keeping order on the course, reporting incidents, and ensuring a positive, professional attitude at all times to help deliver a memorable

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the game of golf
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be willing and available to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to relate to other people in a professional manner
• Ability to understand the rules of golf
• Ability to work inside and outside in different weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Keep order, ensure prompt tee off, and maintain the flow of golfers as they prepare to play the course
• Pick up litter around the first tee, putting green, and pro shop
• Check all ball washers and fill with water/solution if needed
• Rove the course throughout the shift and be available to golfers
• Know all course rules and enforce them
• Record and report all complaints to the Head Golf Professional
• Inform any golfer who damages private property that they are liable for restitution
• Ensure play moves along steadily and ask slow golfers to allow faster golfers to play through
• Periodically check water coolers and fill if needed
• Empty garbage cans when needed
• Pick up litter on the course
• Complete accident/incident reports for all accidents on course
• Provide excellent customer service and display a positive, professional attitude at all times
• Work as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments
