Job summary

The City of Omaha is seeking a part-time/seasonal worker to monitor golf course grounds, oversee play, and assist with clubhouse operations. The role includes patrolling in a golf cart, enforcing game rules, and supporting daily course activities.

Candidates must be able to sit for long periods and stand/walk as required; duties may include trash pickup and other tasks as assigned. Employment is non-discriminatory and contingent on background checks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the rules and play of golf.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and the public.
• Ability to drive a golf cart and operate a two-way radio.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to sit 75–100% and stand/walk up to 25% of the work day.

Responsibilities

• Drives a golf cart to patrol the golf course and check golfers' receipts.
• Ensures proper and prompt play by golfers and cautions or removes rule violators.
• Picks up trash and litter from the course.
• Assists in the operation of the clubhouse.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.
