Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Golf Course Marshal to help maintain pace of play and assist residents and guests on the course in Punta Gorda, FL. You will monitor pace, protect balls, set up the course each morning, and promote safety and enjoyment for spectators while upholding dress code and etiquette.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, and willingness to perform a variety of tasks including customer interaction and course

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 6 months in demonstrated knowledge of operating and maintaining electric golf carts, chargers and compressors (Preferred).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• General knowledge of golf course etiquette and rules.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the pace of play and reduces distractions (Essential).
• Locates and protects errant golf balls (Essential).
• Sets up the course in the morning (Essential).
• Communicates with residents and guests of the golf course in a friendly and courteous manner (Essential).
• Promotes safety and enjoyment of the spectators (Essential).
• Fills divots with seed mixture and fixes ball marks on the greens (Essential).
• Ensures all residents and guests adhere to the golf course dress code.
• Markets the golf course, membership and special rates to the daily fee players.
• Other duties as assigned.
