Job summary

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS is seeking a Golf Course Supervisor to lead daily turf maintenance at Sunflower Hills Golf Course, report to the Golf Course Superintendent, and implement agronomic plans while supervising staff.

Responsibilities include supervising crew, inspecting turf conditions, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting irrigation, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines; the role also handles records of chemical and water usage

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 3 years’ experience in turf management or a related field, or a related bachelor’s degree with experience.
Knowledge of turf maintenance practices, irrigation systems, pesticides, fungicides, and safety procedures.
Experience supervising personnel and providing customer service in a public setting.

Responsibilities

Supervises daily work assignments, staffing, and equipment and supply needs.
Inspects turf conditions and reports dryness, disease, or pests to supervisor.
Operates turf maintenance equipment including mowers, tractors, and carts.
Troubleshoots and repairs irrigation systems and related components.
Makes sure grounds are clean and records of chemical use and water usage are maintained.
