Hallbrook Country Club in Leawood, KS is seeking a dependable Greenskeeper II to maintain the golf course and grounds, perform daily upkeep, operate equipment, and handle other duties as directed by the Superintendent.

The role includes daily course setup, green maintenance, mowing, fertilizing, topdressing, and assisting with course improvement projects, while adhering to safety procedures and flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous golf course maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate golf course maintenance equipment.
• Basic knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality course conditions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed based on seasonal and operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily golf course setup, including hole locations and tee box preparation.
• Assist in maintaining green conditions through topdressing, plugging, watering, mowing, and rolling.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and ride-on mowers to maintain all turf areas.
• Operate hand-held equipment for mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal.
• Apply fertilizers and turf care products under supervision in accordance with regulations.
• Assist with course improvement projects such as aerification and irrigation repairs.
• Maintain clubhouse grounds with mowing, pruning, and general landscaping.
• Prepare on-course amenities and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain bunkers by raking and edging surrounding turf.
• Maintain landscaped and non-turf areas and cart paths.
