Job summary

Commander, Navy Installation Command in the Mid-Atlantic Region oversees a golf course, practice area, and clubhouse operating daily year-round. The position requires planning, organizing, guiding, and supervising all operations for efficient maintenance of courses and facilities.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years in golf course operation with 3 years of supervisory experience; PGA status is strongly preferred and may be pursued to attain Class A within a year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in golf course operation, design and maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• PGA membership strongly preferred; ability to attain Class A PGA status within one year.
• Experience with POS cash registers, basic computer knowledge, and budgeting functions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, guide, and supervise all operations for efficient maintenance of golf courses and facilities.
• Oversee daily golf course operations including retail, driving range, fitting equipment, and fleet management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations relating to chemicals and golf operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and budgeting functions.
