Job summary

Whitetail Club in McCall, Idaho seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support daily golf course operations and lead grounds maintenance. You will work with the Superintendent to maintain greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers, while supervising staff and coordinating budgets and supplies.

The role requires turfgrass knowledge, leadership experience, and strong irrigation and IPM understanding to ensure excellent member and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Degree in turfgrass management or horticulture preferred; certifications recommended.
• 2–5 years golf course maintenance or turf management experience.
• Experience leading and supervising teams.
• Strong understanding of irrigation design and water conservation.
• Ability to read and interpret financial reports and budgets.
• Knowledge of eco-friendly practices and IPM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily golf course maintenance and delegate tasks to staff.
• Manage annual maintenance budget and capital plans with Superintendent.
• Supervise golf maintenance staff and assist in daily duties.
• Coordinate maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Supervise planting and care of grasses, trees, and ornamental plants.
• Ensure proper maintenance of construction equipment and record keeping.
