Job summary

Kenton County Golf Courses, Independence, KY, seeks a full-time Assistant General Manager to lead and coordinate daily operations under the General Manager. The role emphasizes service excellence, hospitality focus, and hands-on leadership within a Troon-managed property.

The ideal candidate has golf-industry experience, supervisory skills, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and POS systems, ready to drive business performance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• PGA Membership or PGA registered apprentice in good standing
• Supervisory, coaching, and staff development experience
• Experience managing total golf facility operations
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, and POS systems

Responsibilities

• Manage the office area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications
• Manage all aspects of the club in the absence of the General Manager
• Assist in hiring, developing, and supervising key management staff
• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Produce daily reports related to rounds, sales, and other metrics
• Coordinate staff and events under direction of senior golf staff
• Oversee course safety, pace of play, and course markings
• Maintain strong relationships with board, golfers, guests, employees and community
• Assist with sourcing, training and motivation of staff
• Support General Manager in staff meetings and policy adherence
