Job summary

The Hills Country Club - Signature in Austin, TX is seeking a 1st Assistant Superintendent to lead daily golf course maintenance and staff oversight. You will coordinate irrigation, spraying, turf care, and equipment upkeep to preserve optimal playability and course aesthetics.

In this role you will work with the Superintendent to manage budgets, schedules, and safety compliance, while directing a small crew and ensuring high standards across all maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Associates and/or Bachelor's degree in Turf Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Golf Course Maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with budget control expectations.
• Minimum 1 year of technical knowledge of equipment and tasks related to Spray and Irrigation Technicians, Landscape Foreman, Greens Keeper, Equipment Operator, and Mechanic positions.
• Current State Pesticide Applicators License or completion within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan, and monitor daily operations; coordinate tasks, schedules, and staffing to meet goals.
• Approve vacation and sick leave; ensure coverage and timely timecards.
• Collaborate with Superintendent to recruit and hire using ATS.
