Job summary

American Golf Corporation is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to oversee golf course and landscape maintenance under the Superintendent. You will train and supervise staff, handle agronomic programs, and potentially assume Superintendent duties in their absence.

The role requires managing irrigation, reporting agronomic issues, and coordinating maintenance for greens, fairways, tees, sand traps, waters, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse staff.
• Good time management and organization for maintenance schedules and reports.
• Spanish language ability may be required in some locations.
• Valid driver’s license and pesticide license are preferred requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in all facets of daily operation.
• Act as Superintendent on duty in the absence of the Superintendent.
• Maintain course appearance and safety by diagnosing agronomic issues and irrigation management.
• Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff; help in scheduling and safety meetings.
• Maintain maintenance records and reports; track expenses and parts needed.
• Communicate course conditions with staff and members/guests.
• Support all American Golf initiatives and programs.
