Job summary

Bella Verde Golf Club in Montebello, CA, part of Troon, seeks a full-time Assistant Superintendent to oversee the daily maintenance and agronomic practices of the golf course and adjacent grounds, including clubhouse landscaping. You will report to the Golf Course Superintendent and support the maintenance team on a variety of turf and landscape duties.

You will supervise personnel, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate fertilization/irrigation programs, calibrate sprayers, and uphold Troon

Qualifications

Supervisory experience required.
Must possess Word and Excel.
Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business.
Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail.
Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of budgeting and expense management.

Responsibilities

Supervises and trains foreman, irrigation technician, and other staff.
Prepares weekly schedules for maintenance department staff.
Monitors inventory, maintenance equipment, and safety training.
Assists in managing annual budget and maintenance records.
Assists in agronomic strategies including fertilization and irrigation schedules.
Operates and calibrates pesticide sprayers.
Implements Troon HR guidelines.
Informs members about maintenance activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
