Job summary

Bella Verde Golf Club in Montebello, CA, is hiring a full-time Assistant Superintendent to join the golf course maintenance team. You will report to the Golf Course Superintendent and help oversee daily maintenance, agronomic practices, and grounds care, including clubhouse landscaping.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Strong business aptitude and passion for golf.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains the foreman, irrigation technician, and other employees in the maintenance department.
• Prepares weekly schedules for the foreman, irrigation staff, and other employees in the maintenance department.
• Monitors inventory and use of maintenance equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety training.
• Works with the Superintendent on budget and maintenance recordkeeping.
• Develops short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for course maintenance.
• Calibrates and operates pesticide sprayers.
