Job summary

Vail Resorts in Truckee, CA is seeking a Golf Maintenance Lead for the summer season. The role supports the Golf Course Superintendent in planning and directing daily maintenance of golf properties, equipment, and irrigation systems.

You will train staff, ensure safe practices, and assist in course improvement projects, contributing to world-class service. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in turfgrass maintenance, a turfgrass degree or certification is a plus, and strong communication and

2-3 years of golf turfgrass maintenance experience
Turfgrass management degree or certification preferred
Microsoft Word and Excel skills required

Responsibilities

Daily supervision of maintenance team members to complete all tasks and projects in a timely manner.
Provides guidance and training to staff as needed.
Ability to manage staff with a positive and respectful leadership style.
Developing individual team members to learn new skills, and provide feedback as needed.
Irrigation system operation and repair experience are a plus.
Turfgrass management experience required (2-3 years).
Assist in scheduling, directing, and leading golf greens staff for daily maintenance.
